Recovering freelance professional musician and copyeditor, newly born as a baaaaaaaaaby poverty lawyer - no money to speak of, but plenty of self-righteous certainty that one is Doing the Right Thing, Dammit. Single and open-minded; let's just say my relationship with my Hitachi Magic Wand is nonmonogamous. I collect kitchen gadgets (more or less despite myself), CDs, books, and friends. I drink wine (red by preference, white when it's what's going), water (tap, unless it's gone a dodgy color in the current neck of the woods), and good beer (the darker the better). Dark chocolate rules my world; the lighter-brown sort's passable in a pinch, but the white doesn't deserve the name "chocolate". I'm more than a bit of a music whore; the only kinds I avoid are the whiniest of country and emo, hyper-misogynistic rap, and anything where "singing" = screaming. I have longish hair in a chemically assisted variety of hues (though the grey streak's all mine, I'm proud to say), changeable eyes, wide hips, a prow like a ship, and a big mouth. I get more political with age. If you're turned off by strong opinions and good hugs, get thee hence.

I welcome comments from whoever wanders by and gets intrigued. However, since I'm a smart chick and an embryonic lawyer, there are caveats. (1) Don't abuse me. I won't appreciate it, and I will almost certainly show that lack of appreciation by deleting whatever you've said. (This does not mean "don't disagree with me". Feel free. Just do it intelligently and with respect.) (2) Don't abuse my friends, with "friends" in this case defined as "anyone else who's posting here and does so politely". (3) Sign what you post. Use your name; use your initials; use the moniker you invented for your first D&D character. I don't care. Really. Just own your comments somehow.
